High Tea is a reading program for 3rd - 5th Grade students that extends to our parents and former Eagle Rock middle schoolers.
The program is designed for the older kids and is an excited event for our younger kids to look forward to.
Below are the list of books for this school year and the rules on how to participate. The list of books is compiled by a group of parents as well as our teachers.
Each student is required to read at least 10 of the High Tea books and complete 5 other projects which could be book talks or posters around the author and the books' illustrations. Once they complete the above requirements, the reader will be invited to a High Tea celebration together with a guest of their choice. The High Tea celebration is a formal affaire where kids dress up, eat yummy High Tea foods and desserts and talk about the wonderful books they read.
High Tea celebration usually takes place in April.
